"I've only had these for a couple of weeks so I can't speak to longevity yet, but I'm optimistic about this particular design. I've owned many pairs of DT socks over the years and the one spot they historically wear down to see-through is 2-3" above the heel. This pair, however, has a more durable padding/cushion covering that area. I've even tried them in my elderly Bogs, which are of-the-age where there is no padding left in the boot itself. The verdict? These offer plenty of cushion above the heel to rebuff the advances of the boot rubber, while not *over* padding and cutting off circulation."

"I love darn tough socks. I love the quality of the socks. This sock runs long and is wider in the toe area than other women’s size M that I have. I will be wearing this pair of socks with hiking boots vs running shoes due to the looseness in the toe box and also it being too long In length. After washing them the material is fuzzy/static in the bottom material……not my favorite pair."
