"I BUY THESE SOCKS FOR MY GRANDSON. HE WAS REALLY EXCITED TO HAVE THESE. I USUALLY BUY THE MUCH LARGER SOCKS WITH LOTS OF CUSHION SO I WAS UNCERTAIN ABOUT PURCHASING THESE. Darn Tough I am writing

"Darn Tough I am writing this review to thank you and let others know what a wonderful and ethical company you are and what great socks you make. My daughter, who used to work for the Colorado Trail, told me about Darn Tough socks about fifteen years ago. I wish I would have known about these socks when I was a young boy. I am 82+ years of age now and I walk several miles every day for my health. These socks are the most comfortable, longest wearing socks I have ever had. They keep my feet warm in the winter and cool in the summer. They don’t bunch up and they wick moisture away from my feet. I took a short five mile hike that started with wading across a stream. My feet were comfortable for the rest of the hike even though my boots and socks were soaked at the start of the hike. The company, Darn Tough, exchanged a pair of socks under warranty for me several years ago. It was rather expensive to send one pair of socks through the mail compared to the cost of the socks so I decided to wait until I had several pairs of socks with wear holes before sending another pair. I had to wait a LONG time for several pairs to wear out and when I finally had two more pairs develop wear holes, three more pairs simultaneously and surprisingly developed a problem. I was a little nervous about sending six pairs all at once, but when I called Darn Tough the customer service rep was kind and helpful, reassuring me about their warranty. I sent the socks and Darn Tough backed their warranty immediately. Even though I am 82+ years of age now, I am hopeful I will get another chance to make use of their unconditional lifetime warranty. I can’t say enough good things about Darn Tough. They are the best company I have ever dealt with - bar none. Thank you, Bob H. P. S. - My sister from out-of-town was visiting a few days ago. She looked down and saw I was wearing Darn Tough socks and asked, “Aren’t those the best socks?”"

Excellent socks. I want to

"Excellent socks. I want to start a club of people who own old Darn Tough socks that JUST KEEP SOCKING ON. Attached is a photo of my boots and some Darn Tough socks from 13 years ago. I hiked a 15 mile loop in Big Bend National Park. The boots were new at the start and fell apart. The DT socks were several years old then and I still have and wear the socks now!"
