Get some!

"I bought my wife and me the lightweight 3/4-high hiking socks for a two-week Italy trip. My wife commented on how good they were and couldn’t get over how comfortable they kept her feet. No sweat, no odor, and they simply keep your feet protected—which was great considering we were averaging over 15,000 steps daily in hot, humid weather. As soon as fall started, I had to get the midweight hikers for my daily drivers. I’d recommend the midweight version for cooler fall/winter weather, and they put my old socks to shame. Honestly, I can’t say I’ve ever gotten excited about socks before, but these are the best I’ve owned in my 50+ years. The fact that they’re made in the U. S. A. , guaranteed, and this damn good has me wanting to change every pair I own to the Darn Tough brand…"

I bought these for a

"I bought these for a friend as a gift because I know they are a great product. I use them on my extended walks and they keep my feet dry in the summer and toasty in the cold. Superb breathability. I've not had a single blister since using them. <3"

The perfect sock (almost)

"These socks are in my opinion, better than the smart wool equivalent for everything from day to day wear or long multi-day backpacking treks. I would say these are a cool design but the socks with Nessy and Sasquatch are way cooler it’s the same sock just a different graphic design."

— Daniel M. (5/5)

My favorite hiking socks

"I switched over to Darn Tough socks a few years ago and haven't looked back once. These are fantastic socks and everyone I introduce them to agrees. I bought my dad a couple pairs for Christmas last year and they're now his go-to as well. Comfort is top notch, especially when brand new. I've never experienced rubbing or blisters from these socks. Durability is fantastic. I have worn out a couple pairs of running socks over around 2500-3000 miles, but nothing truly lasts forever. True to their reputation, Darn Tough stands by their warranty; you can walk into an authorized retailer with an old, worn pair and out with a brand new pair of your choosing in a matter of minutes (or mail them if you don't have a retailer nearby). I also personally appreciate the fun designs."

For me, the perfect socks

"For me, the perfect socks are lightweight with cushion year round for everything. I wear no-shows or quarters in the summer, and micro crews the rest of the year. I have 16 pair of the micro crews and I wear each pair for a week before throwing them in the laundry. With all the different color combinations and designs, I love throwing them all into a big pile in my sock drawer, then reaching in blind to grab 2 socks and wearing whatever mismatch is in my hands for the entire week - loads of fun, especially when people notice and comment ;)"

Great Fit, Dry Feet—Would Buy Again!

"Really happy with these Darn Tough socks! They fit great and keep my feet dry and comfortable. Definitely a pair I’d buy again."

— Robert A. (5/5)

Snug fit

"I have several pairs of Darn tough socks all fit well. This pair is very tight at to top, not sure if they will work for me or not. That being said I still plan on continuing to where my darn tough socks."

— John (4/5)

Best socks in the game

"Comfortable, breathable and awesome colors and patterns. Used these socks for camping hiking Big Sur and Yosemite I wished I had bought more pairs for myself. I did get some for my wife and kids they also love these socks."

— Julian L. (5/5)

I receive outstanding positive comments

"I receive outstanding positive comments about the color patterns. Moisture wicking and odor control is the best in the business."

— Dale R. (5/5)

Darn Tough tackles the Mississippi!

"Yet another success for the best outdoor socks! Worn six days canoeing 100mi on the Upper Mississippi River through the sand, silt, rocks, and mud. Rinsed out and sun dried and still just as comfortable as the first day. There's a reason I only packed Darn Tough for Scout's Northern Tier High Adventure!"

Q&A

Does this sock have the same cushioning level and tech as the PCT and CDT lightweight trail socks? Wool, nylon and spandex content look similar. The other two socks appear to have tighter knit around the calves. Would the named trail socks be more durable regarding bushes, rocks and other snags?
Hi Ian, all three of these styles are Lightweight Hiking socks that feature cushion under foot, around the toes, and the heel. The trail socks offer a slightly longer cushion up towards the Achilles. These three styles will offer similar comfort and durability, the main difference being the designs.
