Fantastic quality, but just not a fit.

"These are the socks I’ve wanted since most of the other wool (and silk!) sock makers I relied on have gone for the poorer quality/higher price ratio. Heavy duty socks, a light feel, and so much more wool than plastic! These are the real deal. Unfortunately, they do not fit my calves, even with the larger size. A lot of hikers and farmers have calves like tree trunks, so I won’t take a star off for that—but if you are of the thick legged sort and want something to wear under your Wellies, you may have to order the crew length. I’m saving my pennies to do just that."

What’s the “new tech” in the OTC heavyweight hunting sock? Also in the pictures there are 2 different color green socks displayed (one with orange, the other has no orange). Which picture is accurate?
The new tech in our Over the Calf hunting socks comes in the nylon reinforcements! We've added more nylon in common wear areas to make the socks tougher than ever. The most up-to-date picture will be the one with the orange mountain top and orange vertical lines on the top of the foot!
I’m interested in the heavyweight over the calf hunting sock. Do you recommend wearing a liner with these or just the sock by itself?
No liners needed. Long ago people used sock liners to compensate for socks that fit poorly, but you won’t find that problem with Darn Tough socks.
I wear 9 1/2 - 10 which sock would fit the best?
