Dan tough is hands-down the best

"About 10 years ago, I put on a pair of darn tough socks, and the comfort and fit is unmatched by any other brand of socks I’ve used I’ve been working for about 30 years in the mining industry it works really well with waking away, moisture and provides good protection during the cold winter months. With the right boots, these socks are the amazing how warm they keep my feet. I also use the lightweight hiking socks, which has amazing protection and comfort even when your feet are muddy and dirty and wet you can still clean these socks and reuse them just by washing them in a creek you do wanna let them drive a bit very durable."

"I've been looking for a full cushioned midweight over the calf sock. I thought this would be it, but there is a patch of no cushion on top over the ball of the foot. I returned them knowing that. Great socks for motorcycle boots

"I have darn tough boot socks I wear frequently. They work well for my normal tactical boots. I found when I wore them with motorcycle boots or cowboy boots, they just weren’t quite tall enough. As I wore them throughout the day they would slide down and I would end up with the inside of the boot rubbing directly against my calf which isn’t the most comfortable after a while . These socks solved that issue for me. They are advertised as over the calf and right out of the package they seem that way. They shrunk a bit in the dryer and definitely don’t go as high up as when I first got them, but for my issues with the boots, these socks solved it. They stay up high enough throughout the day that the inside of those boots aren’t rubbing on my legs. I find them to be comfortable and so far are holding up well."

The best I've I've had

"I just purchased my first pair of men's Paul Bunyan Over-the-Calf midweight sockes. I wear woxboy boots every day, up to 13" shaft height. These socks are great. They are extreme;ly well made and do not slide down. They prevent chafing of my calves (I have large calves). Being wool, they do not get too hot, even on warm days. Best of all, they are made right here in the USA. I HIGHLY recommend these socks. I have tried several different brands. These are the best I='ve found."

Q&A

I am looking for wool socks that will help against the raw heels that I got from my recent moose hunt. My rubber insulated boots became wet with perspiration that My skin on the back of the heels wore off. I will mostly wear 9’ boots for hunting in Pa. I am looking for both knee-hi and boots socks. I have 16-16.5 calves.

I have 8 pair of the Paul Bunyan XXL socks and I love them but they are extremely tight in the foot area. It takes me several minutes to get them over my feet every morning. I was wondering if you have any other styles that are much larger in the foot area. If you do, I would like to know the item number so I can buy a pair to try. They don’t need to be over the calf either.

How is the top of the sock ribbing? Are they suitable for diabetes? I’m questioning if they could be tight and cause swelling.
