  • A performance fit means no slipping, no bunching, no blisters for peak hiking comfort.
  • Merino Wool is at home on the trail, naturally moving moisture to keep feet fresh and dry in all weather.
  • Our all-season weight, midweight socks thermoregulate to wrap feet in steady comfort when temperatures change.
  • Reinforced Achilles cushion improves the comfort of our socks and helps them last longer.
  • We close every toe seam using our True Seamless™ Toe technology for an ultra smooth, undetectable feel.
  • The “still” in Still Made in Vermont, USA is personal. We knit all our socks at our VT-based Mills - we can't imagine it any other way.
  • Unconditionally Guaranteed for Life - if these aren’t the longest lasting socks you’ve ever owned, return them for another pair.

I researched months for the

"I researched months for the perfect sock to wear on my first 23 mile mountain climb challenge and was directed every time to this brand. I can say I ended that hike with not a single blister or painful foot issue. Not one! My feet did not feel sweaty at all and the cushion was just right in all places! Cannot recommend this sock more! Love them!"

Best hiking socks!

"These are great socks for both everyday wear and hiking. The mid weight version gives just enough cushion without feeling bulky and still feel light weight. I have yet to get a blister while wearing these socks. They also keep your feet feeling dry and don’t hold on to smells for those whose feet may sweat a bit. I’d recommend these to anyone looking for a versatile sock for every day and outdoor use."

Bought these socks for my

"Bought these socks for my wife for Mother’s Day. She had purchased other socks that were less money but kept getting holes in them and no lifetime warranty. She will now be a Darn Tough Lady!"

They are very comfortable, durable

"They are very comfortable, durable and just the right weight for hiking to keep from overheating my feet on the trail. I appreciate the high quality and just the right level of cushion in the heel."

Cherry on Yop of the Mountain-scape

"These are so darling and perfect for all the hiking I do! The added bonus? Absolutely durability. To have both is awesome and then to have the style that goes along with it. . . That's more like a cherry on top!"

Couldn’t be happier

"Purchased for someone else but per her input, these socks are amazing! She loves how her feet feel safe from bunching, blisters, hot spots and uncomfortable spots in her shoes. She also made note of how comfortable the cushioning is in these socks and how perfectly they fit on the foot and ankle. She wears them all the time and really enjoys the look of them, with the fun colors."

Too Many Loose Threads Inside!

"I recently ordered one pair of these socks along with one pair of the women’s hunting socks, and one pair of the women’s hike/trek socks. I don’t know if I got a bad pair or what, but this pair is very difficult to put on due to all the threads inside that are not woven in…see pic. My toes and toenails catch on those loose threads and I have to pull the sock back off and try again. Disappointing for the price point; at least they have a nice design on the outside. I do not have this issue with either the hunting socks or the hike/trek socks—all the threads are woven in so they go on my feet with no problem."

"These socks are beautiful and comfy and I fully expect that they will last for many years. I love the tree scape and the crescent moon and the many blues working together. Darn Tough socks are my favorites and they have never let me down. They have even kept my feet warm when my boots were full of snow! I recommend them to everyone I know."

Great Hiking Socks

"LOVE all my Darn Tough socks! These are great hiking socks with some padding on them. The amount of wear I get from them is unbeatable. Then the warranty is excellent as well! I recommend them to everyone!"

Q&A

If I have wide feet and a high instep and wear size 9.5 should I order a size large? Or a size medium? Thanks
Hi Michelle, for those who fall on the upper end of a size range and consider their foot wide we recommend sizing up. You should find a great fit with our Women's Large. Darn Tough Vermont Support Team 877-327-6883 support@darntough.com
I need help on sizing. I wear an 8.5 or 9 shoe, but the size medium lifestyles socks are a little too small for me. I've never tried the hiking socks. Are the hiking socks bigger, or should I go up a size?
All of our Medium socks stretch to the same size. Since you find the Mediums too small, we recommend going up to the Large.
